SOUTH WENATCHEE AVENUE: A contractor continues to work replacing a stormwater pipe on South Wenatchee Road, near Boodry Street. Currently a crew is working on the southern portion of the project, from Squilchuck Creek to Boodry Street. The road is closed there, with a detour available via Boodry Street. More information about the project is on the Chelan County Public Works website.
The following is a list of regularly scheduled maintenance for Chelan County Public Works for the week of Oct. 28, 2019. Maintenance plans may change with weather conditions or equipment difficulties. Visit the Public Works website, where the weekly road maintenance information is regularly updated.
District 1 (Wenatchee) – The Wenatchee road crew this week will be ditching and cleaning culverts throughout the district.
District 2 (Cashmere) – Crews will continue ditching along Squilchuck Road, from about Wenatchee Heights Road to the city limits. Motorists will see minor traffic delays, with one-lane, flagger-controlled traffic.
District 3 (Leavenworth) – The road crew will be flagging for the county survey crew on Chiwawa Loop Road and Chumstick Highway. Watch the Public Works Facebook page for details on which day the flagging operation will begin. The roadway will be at one lane, and minor traffic delays are expected. The road crew also will be cleaning behind barriers on River Road and doing shoulder stabilization work on Anderson Canyon Road.
District 4 (Entiat) – The Entiat crew will be in Wenatchee, ditching on Lester Road. In Entiat, the crew will be cleaning under guardrail along Entiat River Road. Watch for one-lane, flagger-controlled traffic; motorists should expect minor delays.
District 5 (Chelan) – Crews will be ditching on Cooper Mountain, Putterman Gulch, Swanson Gulch and Boyd Loop roads. Motorists should expect to see one-lane, flagger-controlled traffic with minor delays.
