Fundraiser to purchase X-Ray Machine for the Lake Chelan Health Specialty Care Clinic

It’s hard to imagine a more spectacular way to spend a sunny September day in the Lake Chelan Valley than on a golf course. And even harder to find a better reason than supporting the Lake Chelan Health & Wellness Foundation.
Well this Friday, you can do both!
If you are a golfer, there’s still time to register to play in the Lake Chelan Health and Wellness Foundation CHELAN CHIP ‘N SIP Golf Tournament, Friday September 13. This inaugural event will take place at the picturesque Chelan Municipal Golf Course, offering breathtaking views and lush green fields for golfers to enjoy.
In addition to the challenges and camaraderie of golf, tournament participants can participate in an array of games – including a chance to win $10,000 for a hole in one – raffles, prizes, awards, goodie bags and lunch.
If you aren’t a golfer, you can support the fundraiser through their online auction which features over 100 items and packages.

“First Annual” implies a continuing event. I asked Phyllis Gleasman, President of the LCHWF Board if we should anticipate this becoming an annual fall fundraiser.
Gleasman laughed. “I sure hope so,” she said. “We’ve put together a really great event. I think it will grow from here.” Gleasman went on to thank Lake Chelan Health employees, along with her fellow LCHWF Board members, and the members of Hospital Guild Y for their enthusiasm and creativity in putting this event together.
“Each of these 3 organizations had representatives who served on the tournament committee, providing fabulous input for this new event,” stated Gleasman. “And they’ll be at the Golf Course on Friday volunteering their time to help make this first time fundraiser a success.”
What is the Foudation raising money for?
This first annual golf tournament will provide funding for a for the new (Lake Chelan Health) Specialty Care Clinic in the Apple Blossom Center across the street from the Lake Chelan Health Hospital.
The funds raised from golf ticket purchases, sponsorships, donations, and various games and raffles will go towards acquiring a new SHARP FM X-ray Machine (Highly advanced single-phase floor-mounted radiography), estimated at $90,000.
This vital piece of equipment is for the expanding Lake Chelan Health Specialty Care Clinic, which offers orthopedic, general surgery, pain management, podiatry and plastic surgery consult services to the Lake Chelan Valley. X-rays play a crucial role in helping physicians identify abnormalities such as broken bones, tumors, or foreign objects in the body, thus aiding in determining appropriate treatment for patients.

About the Lake Chelan Health & Wellness Foundation
Since 1981, the Foundation has managed donor contributions, bequests, memorials, endowments and an annual giving campaign. Each year LCHWF awards college scholarships to local students and to caregivers continuing their education, and assist the hospital to purchase new equipment that helps improve patient care and experiences.
