Goats overcome half-time deficit to take the win 34-12

The Chelan High School football team (#22 ranked-max preps) celebrated a victory on their Homecoming night, defeating Colfax with a final score of 34-12. The thrilling game saw Chelan making a comeback after a slow start, demonstrating resilience, teamwork, and outstanding individual performances.
Being down 12-7 at half and in the face of challenges, the Chelan team rallied in the second half, shutting Colfax out and scoring an impressive 27 points to secure the win. Leading the charge was Lance Gogal, whose exceptional performance on the field left spectators in awe. Gogal ran the ball an astonishing 41 times, covering 342 yards and scoring an incredible 4 touchdowns, showcasing his skill and determination.
Contributing significantly to the team’s success was Angel Saucedo, who played a crucial role on both offense and defense. Saucedo carried the ball 8 times, scoring a pivotal touchdown. Additionally, he displayed his defensive prowess with two solo tackles, demonstrating his versatility and dedication to the game.
Jacob Allen showcased his defensive abilities with 5 solo tackles and a remarkable interception. Allen’s interception almost turned into a score, highlighting his agility and strategic thinking on the field.
Despite facing adversity with three starters missing on both offense and defense, the Chelan High School football team displayed unwavering determination and depth. The players exhibited exceptional teamwork, resilience, and skill, ultimately leading to their well-deserved victory.
