Third Thursdays in Historic Downtown kicks off June 15th

The Historic Downtown Chelan Association (HDCA) is pleased to be recognized by the City of Chelan during Washington Main Street Week June 11th through the 17th. The proclamation recognizing Main Street Week was issued by Mayor Goedde at the May 23rd city council meeting and is a special acknowledgment of the importance of Chelan’s downtown commercial district, and the community’s commitment to its preservation and revitalization.
HDCA is excited that Main Street Week coincides with the kickoff the 2023 Third Thursdays in Historic Downtown Chelan, presented by VIP Insurance and Cashmere Valley Bank.
Each Third Thursday promises to be an extraordinary experience for all attendees. Visitors can expect to find an array of activities and attractions that cater to different interests and age groups. From good food at downtown restaurants, live music in Riverwalk Park, shopping at the Farmer’s Market and downtown shops, to a kids’ scavenger hunt and more, Third Thursdays offers something for everyone.
Don’t miss the newest addition to Third Thursdays, a fun and interactive Signature Activity, sponsored in June by Lake Life, Chelan Toys & Sweets and Woody’s Classic Man. June’s Third Thursday’s theme is “Art” and to honor the theme, the community is invited to participate in painting a 4’ X16’ mural designed by Wenatchee artist Sarah Hasslinger.
“We are thrilled to bring back Third Thursdays in Downtown Chelan,” said Aimee Sheridan, Executive Director of the Historic Downtown Chelan Association. “Our goal is to create a vibrant and engaging atmosphere that not only supports our local businesses but also provides an enjoyable experience for residents and visitors. We believe these monthly celebrations will strengthen the sense of community and showcase the unique character of our downtown.”
The first Third Thursday event is on June 15th, starting at 3:00 PM with activities until 5:00 PM, and finishes with Music in the Park, a free community concert in Riverwalk Park from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM featuring the Dimestore Prophets. Visitors are encouraged to come down to Historic Downtown Chelan to be a part of this captivating experience.
