One day ahead of the first day of spring and two days after St. Patrick’s Day, Chelan will celebrate with the annual Wayne Kelly Memorial Top Dog Parade. Per usual, the parade will make its way down Woodin Avenue starting at noon this Saturday.
Top Dog has been a community favorite since the parade was first held in 1987. Parade participants will form up behind Wells Fargo Bank starting around 11:30 and those with dogs can register their pet for consideration as the 2022 “Top Dog”. If you can’t attend in person, LakeChelanNow will livestream the event on facebook starting just before noon.
Also on Saturday, the Lake Chelan Lions Club will host their annual 5K Shamrock Shuffle. The run will start at 9:30 am with registration opening at 8:30 am at Riverwalk Park. The cost to participate is $25 for Adults, $15 for those 10-18 years of age and free for those nine and under. All proceeds from the Shamrock Shuffle will benefit kids who want to attend a Youth Camp designed for those with diabetes.
