Earth Day Fair, Easter Egg Hunts and Sports

There will be no lack of activities to entice you out and about this weekend in Chelan and Manson. Saturday morning will mark the final session of the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce sponsored Job Fair at the Community Gym. Meanwhile, the always popular Earth Day Fair resumes this year and will take place Saturday at Riverwalk Park from 10 am to 4 pm. The event will feature educational booths, plant and book sales, live musical entertainment and more.

Easter Egg hunts will abound on Saturday as well. In Chelan, the Lions and Eagles Clubs team up to offer easter egg candy and prizes starting at noon at Don Morse Park. In Manson, the Parks and Recreation Department is offering two easter eggs hunts  starting at 10 am at Singleton Park for children up to three years of age and then at 10:15 for kids four to seven. For kids eight years and up there will be a hunt at Old Mill Park in Manson. Also, Rio Vista Wines on the Columbia River has a free easter egg hunt that starts at 10 am Saturday, while Harmony Meadows in Manson will offer a Sunday community easter egg hunt that starts at 11 am. For those that are wondering, there will be an Easter Sunrise Service starting at 6:30 am Sunday at Scout Hill on the Lloyd Road in Manson.

The weekend also brings several high school sporting events including a baseball double header starting at 11 am at Mountain Goat Field with the Goats hosting Quincy in CTL play. Chelan Tennis takes on Wahluke at Lake Chelan Shores starting at 11 and in a battle of the Lake, Chelan plays Manson at Mountain Goat Field starting at 4 pm. Senior Day will be observed for the Goats during this match.
