Coach looks forward to continued development this season

On Monday, the Chelan Boys Golf Team participated in the Jack Barnes Invitational at Three Lakes GC in Malaga. Being only the 2nd time on a course this season for several and the 3rd match for several, and practices on an elementary softball field the rest of the time (chipping practice only!), scores were certainly not where we hope them to be later in the season.
Scoring best for the boys was 9th grader Carson Clinton with a 10-over-par 79. Carson is still a bit rusty from the winter layoff, but never shot more than a 1-over par for any hole and included 6 pars and a birdie.
The others playing for Chelan, including Chase Woodley (11th gr), John Ludwig (10th gr), Grant Coonrod (9th gr) and Cooper Neff (8th gr) all had some good holes and some not-so-good ones too!
We now go into a bit of practice time with spring break coming up and our next matches being our own hosted Gamble Sands Invitational tournaments for boys (Apr.11) and girls (Apr. 12). The CTL league matches will begin the following week.
