On Tuesday, 6/25/24, at approximately 1103 hours, Chelan County deputies responded to a disturbance call in the 15000 block of US Hwy 97A in Entiat, WA.  A male identified as 32 year old Dalton Olson of Wenatchee was at his mother’s residence experiencing a mental health crisis episode.  During the incident Dalton armed himself with a high powered rifle.  The mother was able to leave the residence and was contacted by deputies who had arrived on scene.

Through that investigation it was discovered that Dalton was not allowed to be in possession of firearms due to a prior incident, through a court order that was placed on him.  On scene deputies attempted to safely contact Dalton but he did not respond.  Due to this in progress event combining a mental health crisis episode and having armed himself with a firearm, the East Cascade SWAT Team (ECST) was activated to assist in this incident.

CCSO detectives obtained a search warrant for the person of Dalton Olson as well as the firearm and any other firearms that he may have been in possession of.

ECST deployed to the scene and through their specialized tactics were able to take Dalton into custody safely.

Dalton Olson is to be charged with 2 counts of RCW 9.41.040(2)(E),  unlawful possession of firearms.  The incident is still under investigation.
