Town Hall Scheduled for September 27th

The community is invited to attend a Town Hall meeting, scheduled by the City of Chelan for Thursday, September 27th, 6:00 p.m. at the Senior Center.
Lake Chelan Now has been told by City Hall staff that the preliminary topics may include Butte preservation and open space, public waterfront access and affordable housing. Part of the Town Hall dialog may also include potential purchase of acreage on the Butte previously identified as the Daybreak Golf Course – a concept introduced during the recent City Council / Planning Commission joint session as a way to preserve open space.
This is the third in a series of recent Town Hall meetings convened by the City of Chelan. The town hall concept encourages dialog between community members and elected officials, with informational resources and presentations along with public interaction and Q&A. The first Town Hall meeting revolved around the topic of Affordable Housing and the second one focused on Water Quality. Both meetings were well-attended.
