Chelan County Sheriff requests public information to help solve case

Sheriff Morrison reports on Monday, November 25th 2024 around 9:45 a.m., Rivercom advised of a robbery at Safeway in Chelan, WA. It was later reported that the incident took place at the Safeway gas station.
A masked suspect walked into the gas station store and tried to purchase items using an invalid debit/credit card. The suspect then demanded money from the clerk while he held his hand under his shirt. The clerk provided the suspect with an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect then left the area.
A weapon was never seen, but the clerk thought the suspect could have had a knife. Deputies canvassed the area and located evidence and surveillance footage. The suspect is described as a male, 5’6” tall, with a slim build.
