Chelan County Natural Resources is asking motorized recreational trail users to complete a survey that will help with the drafting of the county’s first motorized trails plan.
The county is gathering public input as it drafts the Chelan County Motorized Trails Plan for users of e-bikes, trail bikes and motorcycles, ATVs, four-wheel drive vehicles, and snowmobiles. Eventually, the plan could connect and extend motorized trails with Kittitas and Okanogan counties and coordinate with non-motorized trail users.
The survey, which takes about 10 minutes to complete and is open until Nov. 15, asks how people currently use motorized trails in the planning areas and what issues they would like a motorized trail planning effort to include. It asks users to rate the current features of local motorized trails and to provide information about their personal experiences.
The survey is available online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ChelanCountyMotorizedTrailsPlan
As an added incentive, anyone who completes the survey can enter their name and email address, which will be entered into a drawing for a $250 gift card.
People are also encouraged to attend the Chelan County Motorized Trails Plan Workshop, which will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 30, at Confluence Technology Center, 285 Technology Center Way in Wenatchee. Participants will take an active role, sharing their thoughts on existing trails, future facilities and more.
