Postal Service thanks its uplake customers for their patience
The Stehekin, Washington Post Office will reopen on Friday, Aug. 23 after the Pioneer Fire prompted evacuations in late July.
The mail, which is being temporarily housed at the Chelan, Washington Post Office, will be moved back to the Stehekin office within the next few days. However, PCT hikers must continue to collect their items in Chelan.
The Stehekin postmaster will continue to distribute mail for residents at the main boat dock until Friday, Aug. 23, when normal Post Office hours will resume.
Operating hours for the Stehekin office are Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Saturday 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The Chelan Post Office is open Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Customers are reminded to bring a proper photo ID in order to make mail and package pickups at the Chelan Post Office.
