Snow and wind warning in effect from 4 p.m. Friday to 4 p.m. Sunday

A winter weather message has been issued for Western Chelan County, including Stehekin, Holden Village and Stevens Pass.
Heavy snow is expected on Friday evening through Sunday in the Cascade Mountains and areas above 2,000 feet. Stevens Pass could see total snow accumulations of 12-18 inches, with winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
Travelers should plan on winter driving conditions in the Cascade Mountains. Slow down and use caution while traveling. Check for updated conditions before leaving, fill your gas tank and keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of emergency.
