As of January 1, 2024, the Manson Park & Recreation District will have one open position on their Board of Commissioners. The position which is currently held by Mr. Randy Reed, will become vacant when his term ends on December 31, 2023. Mrs. Leslie Burns was elected to fill the position on the November ballot, however, she unexpectedly relocated and is no longer able to serve.
The Park Board is in search of community-minded candidates interested in serving a two-year term as the fifth and final Commissioner. To qualify, a person must be a registered Washington State voter living and voting within the Manson Park & Recreation District boundaries.
Candidates must be available to attend meetings on the second Thursday of each month at 4:10pm. Special meetings and other commitments may arise periodically during the two-year term.
Qualifying residents are encouraged to submit a letter of interest to the Manson Park & Recreation District Board of Commissioners. One candidate will be selected for appointment by the Board.
