Coach Longmire recaps the game
information released
Tuesday night the Goats played host to the third ranked in state Cashmere Bulldogs. Previously the Goats had traveled down to Cashmere a few weeks prior and lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs. Knowing this game was going to be a tough battle the Goats worked hard the past few trainings to adjust to the Bulldogs speed and skill in the game.
The Goats played well against a strong opponent and well coached Bulldog side. It would not prove to be enough as the Bulldogs were able to capitalize in the 12th and 41st minute to get a 2-0 final score against the Goats.
This season for the Goats has been a roller coaster as players have been out with injuries as well as playing some of the top ranked teams in the state. Despite many of the setbacks the Goats have maintained a positive attitude and work ethic the entire season. Even if the record so far has not shown it the Goats are defiantly learning a lot about themselves as well as who they are as players.
Prior to the start of the varsity match the JV Goats played a shortened game due to lack of lighting. They were able to get in two 25-minute halves for their match. The last match the Goats JV played vs. the Bulldogs was very much lopsided in the Bulldogs favor. This time around the JV played hard and fell 2-0 as well. This very much a win for the JV as they have improved tremendously thought the season so far.
On Thursday the Goats will be traveling to Quincy where they will be taking on the Jackrabbits. JV will kick off at 4pm with the Varsity match at 6pm
