The Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce is excited to share our 2nd Quarter 2023 PR report. In this report, we highlight our milestones/achievements from the quarter and look into our plans for the remainder of 2023. Over the previous 3 months, we have secured over 9 billion media impressions with coverage in top national and regional publications!

Milestones & Achievements

  • Through our partnership with GreenRubino, we received an estimated 9,423,964,126 media impressions in Q2.
  • We secured coverage in top national publications, including The Wall Street Journal and Global Traveler, as well as key local and regional publications, including 1889 Washington’s Magazine, Sip Magazine, The Oregonian, and The Seattle Times.
  • We coordinated a group of 4 top-tier outdoor-focused content creators for the 2023 Lake Chelan Social Media Familiarization tour, resulting in more than 1.2 million impressions.

What’s Next?

  • Drafting and disseminating the Fall 2023 story-sheet to local, regional and select national media.
  • Coordinating targeted media visits for top-tier travel writers, with long-lead opportunities looking into 2024 media visits.
  • Media relations for the holidays in Lake Chelan, as well as long-lead opportunities for Winterfest 2024.

  • As a result of a long-standing relationships with freelance writer, Emily Pennington, Stehekin was featured in an article in Wall Street Journal (77,900,000 media impressions).
  • Thrifty NW Mom (62,700 media impressions) featured both Slidewaters and Lakeside Surf as the best waterparks/attractions in Washington to visit this summer.
