Work to replace a significant portion of guardrail on scenic US 2 through Tumwater Canyon west of Leavenworth begins Monday, July 17.
Work to install new guardrails and replace rusted sections will require single lane closures and traffic controlled by automated flagger assistance device. Work is scheduled from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday. All lanes will be fully open during non-working hours.
Travelers are reminded to follow the direction of the auto flagger device “wait on stop, go on slow” and remain alert while traveling through an active work zone.
