Two of the top volleyball programs in the state of Washington call the Lake Chelan Valley home. Both Manson and Chelan are ready to begin their quest for a state championship at the 2022 WIAA tourney to be played at the Sundome.
The Manson Trojans, seeded number two overall, open play in the 2-B state tournament with a match Thursday morning at 9:45 am against the number 15 seed Walla Walla Valley Academy.
Manson has an overall record of 18-1 and claimed both their League and District championships this year. The Trojans finished third at last year’s state tourney. Win or lose, Manson will play a second match on Thursday at 3:15 pm against either Brewster or Liberty.
The Chelan Goats start play Friday in the 1-A state tournament with a first round match at 5:15 pm against The Bear Creek.
The Goats are two time defending state champions and enter tourney play as the number one seed with an unblemished record of 16-0. The Goats’ second match on Friday will be against either Nooksack Valley or College Place at 8:15 pm.
