The Lake Chelan Valley Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors is excited to introduce to you their new Executive Director, Michelle Fanton. Michelle stepped into this role July 1st, after working together with retiring Executive Director, Loni Rahm, to ensure a smooth transition.

Michelle brings over 20 years of experience in the service sector, mostly in the wine industry. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Psychology from Cornell University, where she went on to pursue graduate studies in Horticulture with a concentration in Vineyard Management. While not the traditional route to heading up a non-profit, her experience in managing small family wineries in both upstate New York and in the Lake Chelan Valley has allowed her the opportunity to “wear a lot of hats” and to gain an understanding of the needs of small rural communities. These experiences have also honed her skills in customer relations, marketing, bookkeeping, research, documentation, and managing teams of employees and volunteers.

Michelle and her husband have made their home in Chelan since 2011 and have two elementary aged children. She currently serves as President of the Morgen Owings Elementary PTO and is fully vested in the Lake Chelan community.

Michelle is excited about the opportunity to help the Lake Chelan Valley Habitat for Humanity reach its goals of building hope, dignity and independence for families by providing quality affordable housing.
