Expect day long closures south of Entiat the week of April 25
information released by WSDOT
A week of rain and snow has delayed prep work for rock scaling activities on US 97A south of Entiat and shifted the day long closures to the week of April 25.
A contractor for the Washington State Department of Transportation had planned striping work and to build a catchment system for rock scaling at milepost 211 south of Entiat this week, however snow and wet conditions prevented the work that is now scheduled for next week. For the week of April 18 through April 22, travelers should expect flagger-controlled traffic with delays when the contractor is restriping and mobilizing for rock scaling activities.
Beginning April 25, the contractor will close the road between 8:15 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday and open for 15 minutes every hour on the top of the hour to allow traffic through the work zone. Day long closures are scheduled through May 4. Snow or rain could cause further schedule delay.
Updates for the project will be shared on project webpage, the WSDOT real time travel map, and on Twitter at @WSDOT_East.
