CWB Girls and Boys sweep CTL squads in Chelan

The Community Gym in Chelan was the perfect setting to close out the high school basketball season with a pair of All League, All Star games featuring players from 14 schols representing the Caribou Trail League and the Central Washington B league. The CWB league carried the day by winning both the Girls and Boys matchups.
In the first game Sunday afternoon, the CWB Girls led most the way and defeated the CTL team 62-50. Lake Roosevelt sophomore Halle Albert was named Player of the Game. Chelan was represented in the contest by senior Aliyah Finch and junior Kira Sandoval. Manson was presented by freshman Lydia Petersen.
It was a fast paced shootout in the Boys game as the CWB team managed to hold off the CTL squad 133-131. CWB led throughout the game, although things got close at the end. Two Manson Trojans were the top scorers and helped their team to the victory. Parker Teague scored a a team high 22 points and was named Player of the Game. Fellow Trojan Nick Strecker hit a number of three-point baskets and finished with 20 points. Chelan had four players representing the Caribou Trail League all stars. Nate Harding scored a game high 26 points while the 23 points of Dylan Jay were the second most scored in the contest. Reed Stamps and Braiden Boyd also scored in double figures with 11 and 10 points respectively.
