GoFundMe account set up to help Efren Alejo with treatment costs

information released

A GoFundMe account has been set up to assist Manson youth pastor Efren Alejo who is preparing to undergo treatment for colon cancer. In addition to serving as Youth/Worship Pastor at North Shore Bible Church, Alejo has dedicated his time in community service as a volunteer firefighter and youth mentor to high school students and through the Thrive Teen Center.

The 40-year-old Alejo and his wife Temmy have three children. Their oldest daughter, Maddi, is currently a Manson Apple Blossom princess and set to attend Grand Canyon University this fall.

The GoFundMe page indicates that Alejo will be receiving treatment later this month at New Hope Hospital in Arizona and will need to live at the hospital for two weeks. His inpatient stay will be followed by self-administered shots for several months once he returns home.

According to Alejo’s GoFundMe page, “The cost of treatment from New Hope Hospital, including travel expenses, will come to roughly $40,000. New Hope Hospital only intakes 5 cancer patients at a time due to COVID restrictions, and Efren has already been selected as one lucky patient.”
