Snow and Rain Wednesday night into Thursday; Advisory in effect until Friday

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 10:00 a.m. this morning to 4:00 a.m. (PST) Friday.
In addition to snow accumulations expected in the higher elevations, the NWS anticipates a winter storm system will arrive Wednesday night into Thursday. This may reflect warmer temperatures with less snow in the lowlands, but snowfall will continue in the mountains.
Winter Weather Travel Advisory in effect from 10:00 a.m. this morning to 4:00 a.m. (PST) Friday.
What: Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 t0 12 inches, mainly near the crest of the Cascades above 4,000 feet. Lesser snow amounts of 3 to 6 inches can be expected over the lower east slopes.
Where: East Slopes of the Washington Cascades.
When: From 10:00 a.m. Wednesday to 4:00 a.m. Friday morning.
Impacts: Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact cross mountain travel or commutes.
Additional Details: The heaviest snowfall will occur from late this morning (Wednesday) through this afternoon. The snow may change over to rain in the lower east slopes as snow levels rise this afternoon and tonight to 4,000 feet. Snoqualmie Pass is expected to see around 4 to 8 inches of snow.
