August 4, 2020 Primary Special Election

Several important decisions will be made by voters over the next 24-hours. Ballots will determine which of the 36 candidates in the primary will face each other for Governor. Also on the ballot are candidates vying for. Lt. Governor, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, State Auditor and State Attorney General, as well as Commissioner of Public Lands, Superintendent of Public Instruction and Insurance Commissioner.
District 8, which includes Chelan County, is also voting amongst several candidates for U.S .Representative. In the 12th Legislative District voters will determine the future of a State Senator and two State Representative positions. Three candidates for Chelan County Commissioner will be whittled down to two during the primary.
Of local interest is the replacement levy for the Chelan County Emergency Services (EMS) Levy.

It is important to remember that completed ballots can be dropped off in the box behind Chelan City Hall. Those deposited in the ballot box will be collected promptly at 8 p.m. If you choose to mail your ballot, please note the pick up time at the mailbox you use or hand deliver it to the post office during regular business hours.

Election Results – results will be posted after 8pm on Election Day
Chelan County is a vote by mail county. All voters will receive their ballots in the mail. Accessible voting equipment is available. The County Courthouse will remain open for ballot drop-off and use of the accessible voting equipment 18 days prior to Election Day. Official ballot drop box sites are also available 18 days prior to Election Day, and sealed at exactly 8:00 PM on Election Day.
