The Class of 2020 has certainly faced its share of unique challenges as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, but last week the community and the Lake Chelan School District came together to celebrate these graduating seniors during a one-of-a-kind graduation! This was Chelan High School’s 113th graduating class, and 115 students graduated this year.
The celebration kicked off with a socially distanced “unofficial” senior class car parade through downtown Chelan on Friday, June 5. The graduates proceeded to Mountain Goat Field, where they participated in a Drive-thru graduation ceremony and received their diplomas.

On Wednesday, June 10, Chelan High School live streamed a Virtual Commencement on YouTube and Facebook Live. If you missed the live streams, or want to experience it again, please see the video below!
As is tradition, the program features a slideshow of baby pictures and senior pictures for each graduate at about the 13:00 mark, and the students walk across the stage to receive their diplomas at the 38:00 mark.
