Social distancing adherence impacts some activities, but the 41st Annual Fireworks Celebration will go on
Information released by Manson Chamber of Commerce
The Manson Chamber of Commerce is moving forward to celebrate Independence Day with their traditional Fourth of July fireworks display. The event on the ground will be different, but spectators looking up to the skies will still be treated to a spectacular fireworks display visible from numerous vantage points on the north and south shores!
A statement released by the Manson Chamber indicates “we are working with the local fire department, Chelan County Sheriff and PUD through the Manson Parks Department, and with the cooperation of the community to keep everyone safe and healthy. If you are compromised or at high risk of contracting a virus, or if you are experiencing any symptoms of illness please stay in, stay safe to protect yourself and others.”
The release goes on to say that “due to the COVID-19 pandemic we will not be having any events in the park including our annual concert with the Lake Boys”.
Spectators are encouraged to view the fireworks from a boat, home or car in order to adhere to the social distancing mandate outlined by the governor.
The Chamber is working on providing maps of the areas that are conducive for viewing the fireworks from your car. If you are viewing from the street please adhere to social distancing of 6 feet from other viewers. We strongly encourage that you wear a mask to protect yourself and others from inadvertently spreading any virus.
Community support is needed to present this annual celebration. You have the opportunity to sponsor a variety of levels of fireworks and to support the annual display. Please visit the donation page to see how you can help.
