Chelan and Douglas Counties Remain in Phase 1
Information released
On Friday, Governor Inslee approved the move of 14 additional counties, including Okanogan, to Phase 2 in the “Safe Start” reopening plan. Chelan and Douglas Counties are now among just five that remain in Phase 1 which also includes Benton, Franklin and Yakima.
King County was approved to move into a modified version of Phase 1.
Seven counties were approved to move to Phase 3 which requires each business or entity to develop a written safety plan outlining how its workplace will prevent the spread of COVID-19. Attached is a template for businesses in Phase 3 of the Washington “Safe Start” plan. Each business or entity operating in Phase 3 must develop a written safety plan outlining how its workplace will prevent the spread of COVID-19. A business may fill out this template to fulfill the requirement or may develop its own safety plan.
Businesses are still required to follow the state’s industry-specific guidance, if issued for their specific industry.
