Flash Flood Watch in Effect in Chelan and Okanogan Counties

Thunderstorms near Burn Scars in the East Slopes of the Northern Cascades May Lead to Flash Flooding this Afternoon and Evening.
The National Weather Service in Spokane has issued a *Flash Flood watch for a portion of North Central Washington, including the following areas: Chelan and Okanogan Counties.
- From 1pm PDT Monday afternoon through this evening
- Thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and linger into this evening. Storms will be slow moving and capable of heavy down pours.
- Rain rates with thunderstorms will be sufficient for possible flash flooding or debris flows over burn scars.
Stay Away or be Swept Away. River Banks and Culverts Can Become Unstable and Unsafe.
