County Construction
West Malaga Intersections Project: Contractor will be working on subgrade and graveling of the roadway. New guardrail is expected to be installed the following week, with paving potentially happening after mid-May. Traffic impacts include minor delays, reduced speed limit in work area and one-lane, flagger-controlled traffic. West Cashmere Bridge Replacement Project: The bridge and Goodwin Road close on May 4. Traffic impacts will occur early in the week on US Highway 2/97, including up to 20-minute delays on May 6. Private Contractor Working by Permit
Willmorth Drive (Chelan): Willmorth Drive and Isenhart Road are closed to through traffic while the City of Chelan’s contractor works on a water main project. Crews will be digging water main trench, installing pipe, backfilling trench and placing rock surfacing. Keep up on the project on the city website: https://cityofchelan.us/departments/public-works/
Road District Maintenance
Maintenance plans may change with weather conditions or equipment difficulties. Visit the Public Works website, where the weekly road maintenance information is regularly updated. Keep up on the 2020 Pavement Preservation online.
District 1 (Wenatchee) — Crews will be crack sealing 2020 Preservation Roads in the Wenatchee and Cashmere road districts, starting on Wescott Drive in Cashmere. Follow the crews’ progress on the CCPW Facebook page.
District 2 (Cashmere) — Crews will be crack sealing 2020 Preservation Roads in the Wenatchee and Cashmere road districts, starting on Wescott Drive in Cashmere. Follow the crews’ progress on the CCPW Facebook page.
District 3 (Leavenworth) — Crews will be doing a road repair on Karl Road. They also will be grading dirt roads and repairing potholes across the district.
District 4 (Entiat) — The crew will be working around the Entiat shop.
District 5 (Chelan) — Crews will be spring grading on Hale and Shady Pass roads. Plan for minor road delays as crews work. The crew also will be hand patching in the Manson area and mowing grass along wet ditches in the Manson and Chelan areas (no delays).
