Occupants escaped unharmed

On Saturday (4/4/2020) at approximately 8:37 PM units from Douglas County Fire District #5 (Mansfield), Douglas County Fire District #4 (Orondo) and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a vehicle fire near mile marker 7 on McNeil Canyon Road.
Upon arrival from the first fire unit, a mid-size passenger vehicle was found fully engulfed with fire. The vehicle had been pulling a car trailer, which contained another car and other items at the time of incident. Fire personnel were able to contain the fire to the vehicle involved with no visible damage being caused to the trailer or other towed items. The occupants of the vehicle were able to escape the situation unharmed.
