Lake Chelan Lions Club Hosts Annual Fun Run on March 14th

Information released by Lions Club

The Lake Chelan Lions Club is sponsoring a Shamrock Shuffle Fun Run on Saturday, March 14th.  The effort came about from the Lions dedication to helping in the fight against diabetes.  Partnering this event on our valley’s favorite parade, the Wayne Kelly Memorial Top Dog Parade, the day will be a great reminder of what small communities can do for the people who live here.

All are encouraged to participate by registering to walk or run.  Bring your family, your friends, and even your dog, on a leash of course, and let’s send some of our local students to camps in Washington State especially designed to help them enjoy life and manage their diabetes.  If you know of a student who would benefit from a camp like this, please contact the club for more information.

Lake Chelan Lions Club is proud to partner with our sponsor, the Lake Chelan Health & Wellness Foundation.  Through a cash donation, LCHWF is making this event possible.  Together, we hope to encourage our valley to keep active, and put their health first through education and awareness.

The run will start at 9:30 at Riverwalk Park behind Kelly’s Hardware in downtown Chelan.  Registration begins at 8:30.  Dress up in your green and have fun with this early spring event. Registration is $25 for adults, $15 for students (10-18) prior to March 8th.  Each paying registration will receive a Shamrock Shuffle t-shirt.  Kids under 9 are free without a t-shirt.  Late registration will have an additional fee after March 8th.  Register at  www.eventbrite.com search Shamrock Shuffle or go to Facebook/Lake Chelan Lions and register direct from there.  Questions, call Lion Juli Straub at 509-679-2059. Help us “Fight diabetes…one step at a time”.
