Maintenance Schedule for the Week of 12/16 – 12/20/2019

OFFICE CLOSURE: The Chelan County Public Works administrative office will be closed Dec. 24-25 for the Christmas holiday. The Dryden Transfer Station will be closed on Dec. 25. CCPW wishes you a very merry Christmas and a happy holiday season.
SIDEWALK REMINDER: Before the snow really starts to fly, Chelan County Public Works reminds business owners in the unincorporated areas to clear sidewalks after a snowfall.
Owners of commercial property are responsible to remove snow and ice from sidewalks within the county right-of-way adjacent to the owner’s property. The snow must be removed within 24 hours of snow or ice falling or accumulating. Please see the Chelan County Code 8.45.090 for more details.
The following is a list of regularly scheduled maintenance for Chelan County Public Works for the week of Dec. 16, 2019. Maintenance plans may change with weather conditions or equipment difficulties. Visit the Public Works website, where the weekly road maintenance information is regularly updated.
District 1 (Wenatchee) – The crew will be doing snow and ice control and brushing throughout the district.
District 2 (Cashmere) – Crews will be doing snow and ice control as well as ditching on Tigner Road, weather permitting. When ditching, the work zone will be at one lane, with a flagger controlling traffic. Plan for minor traffic impacts.
District 3 (Leavenworth) – The crew will be doing snow and ice control and brushing throughout the district. The crew also will be doing a guardrail repair on the pedestrian bridge in Plain. On Tuesday, the crew will be providing traffic control for a county contractor who will be removing two hazardous trees. One tree is on Cedar Brae Road and the other is on North Shore Drive. Traffic delays will be minimal.
District 4 (Entiat) – The crew will be doing snow and ice control as well as brushing throughout the district. The crew also will be putting up snow markers on guardrails.
District 5 (Chelan) – Crews will be doing snow and ice control and brushing throughout the district as time allows. The crew also will be patching potholes district wide.
