We Apologize for Technical Problems with our LCN Livestream

by the LCN Team

A Tuesday night candidate forum hosted by the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce gave residents the opportunity to hear from those involved in contested races for Mayor, City Council and Fire Commission. The event drew a moderate crowd of less than 100 people that was welcomed by Chamber Director Mike Steele who explained the format for the evening and introduced Forum moderator Jay Witherbee.

LakeChelanNow had planned to Livestream the entirety of the program but encountered technical difficulties about 20-minutes into the event. Portions of the recording have been preserved and will be presented here in two segments. The first LCN video covers the opening of the forum and includes the introduction to the candidates running for District 7 Fire Commissioner.

Please note the video and audio degrade at the 15:40 timeframe.

Introduction and Initial Questions for Fire Commission Candidate

Unfortunately, the lifestream video of the City Council candidates Jon Higgins and John Olson was unable to be preserved. LakeChelanNow will reach out to those candidates to allow them the opportunity to present their thoughts and comments in a future story.

The final portion of the forum involved Mayoral candidates Mike Cooney and Bob Goedde. Cooney is a former City Councilman and current mayor; Goedde is also a former Councilman and former mayor. LCN decided to video record their segment which is presented below in progress, with the entirety of the Q&A section.

Mayoral Candidates Mike Cooney and Bob Goedde
