Lake Chelan Ladies Club Tee Time 9/19/2019
Information submitted by Lake Chelan Ladies Golf Club
It’s very tough explaining the game of golf to someone who does not play it. The game does have a few things seemingly backwards. The less times you hit the ball the better. The bigger your handicap number the worse you are. If you happen to get a hole-in-one YOU must buy everyone drinks when it seems like it should be the other way around. Tiger has had 20 in his lifetime; the first at 6 years old! I wonder what they drank?
Our season is winding down but the course is in great shape after all the rain we’ve had in the past week. Sixteen brave women showed up in the cool morning only to shed layers before finishing their round. The competition was Medal Play (Low gross and net of the field and low net by division). Here’s the breakdown of the winners:
- Low gross of the field: Barb Rayburn, 87. Low net of the field: Jaclyn Starr-Evans, 65.
- Division 1: First Place: Candace Farnsworth, 70. Second Place: Carol Ferguson, 73.
- Division 2: First Place: Sherry Fisk, 71.
- Division 3: First Place: Karen Erickson, 71.
Nobody had a birdie today but Nancy Judson received the whole chip-in pot after a chip-in on hole 11.
Next week’s competition is the last competition of the year. It will be “Points” (Figure strokes per hole based on your full handicap, then give 1 point for net bogie, 2 for net par, 3 for net birdie, and 4 for net eagle).
Tee time is 9:00 am. Please check in by 8:30 am.
Don’t forget to sign up for the Awards Banquet at CJ’s on the Course, October 8th, 5:30 pm.
