The Auditors office reminds you that primary election ballots must be placed in one of the drop boxes before 8 p.m. today in order to be counted. Ballots contained in the drop boxes will be collected promptly at 8 and no late ballots can be included.
Primary election voters will reduce the City of Chelan’s three Mayoral Race Candidates — Mike Cooney, Bob Goedde, and Stan Morse — down to two individuals who will face off in the general election. This ballot also includes levy requests from Link Transit and Rivercom.
The pre-stamped ballots can be mailed* or deposited in the drop off box in the alley behind Chelan City Hall. Early election results will be posted online on the County website and will be published on Lakechelannow.com after 8 p.m. this evening. Results will be updated as additional ballot counts are presented.
*Important reminder: If you choose to mail your ballot, please remember it must be postmarked August 6th. The Auditor’s office urges voters to be cautious about when the post office closes or mail is picked up to ensure your vote can be properly recorded.
