Slow Moving Thunderstorms are Expected to Produce Heavy Rainfall

Information submitted by NWS

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch starting at 11 a.m. Tuesday morning and continuing through the evening.

The flash flood watch indicates that slow moving thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall, resulting in flash flooding on and near burn scars in Chelan and Okanogan Counties. People traveling through or living near traditional flooding or mudslide areas should take precautions and watch for moving water, mud or debris, and falling rocks.

Note: A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead to a dangerous situation.
