Chelan baseball is red hot and looks to keep an 11-game win streak alive as they host the visiting Brewster Bears in a non-league matchup on Thursday at Mountain Goat field. The game will feature two of the area’s top teams as 1-A Chelan sports an overall record of 11-1 while 2-B Brewster is 12-1.
Chelan is undefeated in Caribou Trail League play and has already captured the league championship and the number one seed into the District tournament next month. The Goats are ranked number one in State with their only loss on the season occurring in their first game of the year falling to Almira-Coulee-Hartline 5-3.
Following the Thursday contest with Brewster, they play their final home game on May 3rd hosting Connell. This is also senior recognition.
The Goats will finish regular season action on Saturday with a double-header at Cashmere. Chelan will open play in the District tournament on Tuesday, May 7 in Ephrata.
