For the second weekend in a row, the Lake Chelan Wine Valley hums with couples on romantic retreats and friends gather for a much needed winter getaway. Our tasting rooms fill with smiling faces and the sound of surprised delight at each taste of red wine and chocolate.
Here is what is going on at Lake Chelan area wineries:
Ancestry Cellars
We’ll be pairing up five wines with spectacular selections from Judy’s Sweet Shop in Manson. Whether it’s our La Sœur blend with a raspberry truffle or our Reserve Cabernet with Moonstruck 68% Cacao Dark Chocolate, these pairings will astonish you. Benson Vineyards Estate Winery
Come experience fabulous Estate Wine & Chocolate pairing, snuggle by our romantic bonfire while sharing a glass or bottle with a loved one and enjoy panoramic views of the Lake Chelan Valley. Open everyday 11am-5pm
Cairdeas Winery
Join Cairdeas Winery for a special flight featuring our favorite red wines. The flight’s grand finale features an Intrigue Chocolate French-inspired truffle, handcrafted to uniquely pair with our 2016 Port-style Petite Sirah. The fire will be lit and ready for roasting Gourmet S’mores on the patio. Plus, we are hosting Chef Laurie Pfalzer of Pastry Craft for Chocolate Making & Wine Pairing on Saturday, February 16th at 5:30pm. Limited tickets are available at cairdeaswinery.com.
Chelan Estate Winery
Visit our tasting room for complimentary truffles from Johnsons Candy Company of Tacoma, chocolatiers for over 90 years. Their hand dipped truffles pair nicely with all of our red wines. We are serving our Estate Pinot Noir and Merlot, both 100% estate grapes. Pair with our Reserve Red blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot from the Stillwater Creek Vineyard, Columbia Valley. Both vineyards were planted in 2000. Specials on all wines, cheers!
Chelan Ridge Winery
Chelan Ridge Winery invites you to join us on Fri-Sun, Feb. 15-17 for lots of Red Wine and Chocolates. Warm up inside by the fireplace as you pair decadent chocolates with premium estate red wines. We will be releasing our newest red wine, our 2014 Chelan Ridge Estate Malbec. Hot mulled wine will also be available. Henry and Lynn look forward to seeing you!
CR Sandidge Wines Inc.
Just in time for Red Wine& Chocolate, CR Sandidge Wines will release the No.18 Devil’s Smoke Stack Port to our club members and the general public. We’re tasting through all of our fabulous 2015 & 2016 red vintages for this fun seasonal event. Our customers will get to taste their favorite reds alongside a chocolate ganache truffle infused with a little 2014 Whistle Punk Red created for us by Yeti’s Chocolates in Wenatchee, WA. For our savory fans, we’ll offer the “Red Blues & You” special; a bit of our favorite blue cheeses, the Bleu D’Auvergne, or a creamy Wisconsin buttermilk blue to accompany the wines. One Wines, Inc. is Chelan’s first downtown tasting room and a true boutique winery producing less than 800 cases per year. We take great pride in producing just “”One”” premium Red Wine, “One”” premium White Wine and “One” premium Rose Wine each year. Please join us for Chelan Valley’s Red Wine and Chocolate Weekend(s). We will pair Hand Crafted Chocolates with some of our award winning Red Wines. Featured wines will include our 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon , 2015 Lake Chelan Merlot, 2016 Barbera, 2015 Kamyra (Red Blend). Tildio
Tildio will be pour its estate grown Cabernet Franc and a Sangiovese from Okanogan County. The Cad Franc is earthy with expressive aromatics of tobacco, spice, cocoa and licorice. The finish is filled with deep dark fruit and agreeable tannins. Aged 22 months in French oak.
The Sangiovese is a big bold red grown near the famed Black Sage Beach. It has big tannins and a long agreeable finish.
We will pair this with dark chocolates from Spokandy. Delicious!
Tipsy Canyon Winery

Tsillan Cellars
Our special chocolate and wine pairing will feature our owner, Bob Jankelson’s, favorite Italian Perugina Baci Hazelnut Dark Chocolates. We will be serving the chocolates alongside a flight of our estate red wines. We will also have live music featuring Mac Potts the second weekend of Red Wine & Chocolate. Tasting room open daily 12-6pm.
Tunnel Hill Winery
Join us as we pair luscious hand crafted truffles with our delicious Estate wines. A little decadence to warm the heart and take the chill off the tail end of winter. Supplies are limited so come early for best availability.

We’ve paired our exceptional wines with decadent chocolate bark created by Chef Jenny Davidson. The Chef has also prepared a special Day Appetizer Menu available in the Tasting Bar. Who needs romance when we’ve got Red Wine and Chocolate? And oh boy, do we have incredible red wines and delectable artisan chocolates lined up for two palate-rich, hedonistic weekends in February. We’ll have chocolate pairings by Tempurr Artisan Confections. Try creamy truffles, creative mendiants and WineGirl’s personal favorites the incredible chocolate salted caramels: all to-die-for and paired alongside a perfect selection of our red wines.
