Washington Braces for Statewide Snow and Freezing Rain

The National Weather Service forecasts the next significant snow occurrence for Monday evening (tonight) through Tuesday.

6-8″ of snow are predicted for the Lake Chelan Valley and Methow Valley; even more snow is anticipated in the Wenatchee area.  Emergency management and law enforcement officials continue to encourage resident to stay home if possible and driving slowly and with extreme caution if you must go out. The Washington State Patrol reports there have been numerous spin outs and accidents throughout North Central Washington, but no fatal accidents as a result of winter storm conditions.
