98th Manson Apple Blossom Events Kick Off Tonight

Apple Blossom Weekend is Full of Fun for Everyone

The celebration surrounding the 98th Manson Apple Blossom officially kicks off today and continues through Saturday under the theme “Apple Blossom Fever”. Follow LakeChelanNow’s Facebook page for FB Live reports on Saturday with Dennis Rahm and Steve Byquist.

Here is a list of activities offered throughout the next three days:

Thursday, May 10

Student & Community Art Show – Thursday, Friday & Saturday, 10 am – 5 pm each day at Allisons of Manson.

Friday, May 11th

Pageant – 6 p.m. at Manson High School Gym. The formal crowning of Queen Alyssa with her Royal Proclamation will officially begin the festival weekend. Additional highlights include the flowered arches for the Royalty’s grand entrance; the Kindergarten Junior Court of flower girls, train bearers and trumpeters. Entertainment provided by the 4th/5th grade. The Pageant concludes with the Royal Court leading the traditional Grand March

Saturday, May 12th

Kiwanis Breakfast – 6:30 – 10:00 a.m. at Manson Grange Hall. A great way to start your day with pancakes, eggs, ham, coffee and juice.

Pig Jig Fun Run – 8:30 a.m., sponsored by North Cascades Bank, all ages are welcome to participate in the 2k or 5k race.

Street Fair – all day downtown Manson will be transformed into a multi-vendor array of booths offering food, crafts and collectibles.

Quilt Show – 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Manson Grange Hall. Presented by Chelan Valley Undercover Quilters. This year’s featured quilter is Jeanne Cheyne who will display her collection along with other handmade quilts.

Parade – 11 a.m. down Manson’s main street. Grand Marshals Dave and Betty Pettit and the Royal Court will lead off this fabulous parade featuring floats, marching bands, horses and hilarity.

Apple Blossom Dinner – 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. at North Shore Bible Church. You are invited to enjoy the traditional Apple Blossom chicken noodle dinner followed by homemade pie.

Annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament – 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sponsored by Windermere Lake Chelan. Cheer on a variety of age groups who compete in the street during the annual 3 on 3 tournament.

Manson Idol – 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at North Shore Bible Church. The next great musical contender may come from this entertaining line-up of local performers.
