Winter weather advisory is in effect until noon Wednesday

Snow continues to accumulate in the Lake Chelan Valley with several inches of snowfall that is predicted to turn icy this evening.

The Winter Weather Advisory warns of mixed precipitation with snow of 2 to 4 inches possible and ice accumulations.  The areas covered by the advisory include Wenatchee to Oroville, along with the Chelan, Methow and Entiat Valleys, as well as the Waterville flats.

The most significant snow accumulation is anticipated through Tuesday afternoon and evening. Freezing rain and sleet is predicted overnight and into Wednesday morning.

Watch for snow and slush on the roadways along with possible ice from freezing rain or sleet overnight.
