National Weather Service Issues a Wind and Freezing Temperature Warning

Wind Advisory in effect from noon today to 8 p.m. this evening specifically for the Okanogan Valley but also throughout North Central Washington. Unseasonably cold temperatures are expected through most of this week.  Tuesday and Wednesday will likely be the coldest nights.

Wind Advisory: Okanogan Valley-Including the cities of Omak, Okanogan, Brewster, Bridgeport, Oroville, and Nespelem.  The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for North Central Washington from from noon today to 8 p.m. this evening.

* WHAT…North winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

* WHERE…Okanogan Valley.

* WHEN…From noon today to 8 PM PDT this evening.

* IMPACTS…Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Driving of high profile vehicles could become difficult at times.
