Travelers should expect delays on Tuesday and Wednesday

A utility crew with Ziply Fiber will use an Under Bridge Inspection Platforms (UBIT) truck to inspect and pull fiber cable through existing conduit on the US 97 Beebe Bridge next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Use of the UBIT truck requires the closure of a single lane over the bridge. Working hours are from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. with flagger controlled, alternating one-way traffic. Oversized loads will be allowed to use Beebe Bridge and should use caution passing the work zone. Travelers crossing Beebe Bridge should expect delays at the bridge during working hours and plan for longer travel times. Those traveling between Wenatchee and Chelan can avoid these delays by using Highway 97A in Chelan County on the west side of the Columbia River.

Drivers are reminded to stay alert for bicyclists and motorcyclists and to obey traffic control. Lanes will reopen Tuesday evening after work is completed for the day.

Updates will be shared on the travel alerts page, and on Twitter @WSDOT_East.
