Manson falls to Tri-Cities Prep in close game

The Manson Trojans boys’ basketball season ended over the weekend with a Friday loss to Tri-Cities Prep. The Trojans trailed by 10 points at the end of the third quarter but battled back to keep things exciting. Manson closed to within two at 46-44 led by the hot shooting of freshman Nick Strecker, but the Jaguars of Tri-Cities Prep were able to hold on for a 50-46 victory. Strecker and Cadon Beasley led the way with 11 points each for Manson.

Five Trojan seniors played their final high school game including Avery Thompson, Cole Beazley, Jake Lodwig, Bailey Cameron and Ty Charlton.

The two-day 2B District tournament in Chelan featured large crowds at both the Community Gym and at the high school. The boys District crown was won by top ranked Kittitas while the girls championship went to number two ranked Tri-Cities Prep.
