Repairs to Knapp’s Hill Tunnel will require daytime closure

information released by WSDOT

Work being done in Knapp’s Hill Tunnel on US 97A north of Entiat will require a daytime closure of the tunnel on Tuesday, Oct. 12.

The work will repair damage sustained inside the tunnel from a three car collision last month. For the safety of the crew and traveling public, and to expedite the work, there will be a full closure between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday only. During that time, travelers should use US 97 (Douglas County side of the River) for Wenatchee to Chelan travel.

SR 971/Navarre Coulee Rd. is the alternate route for travel between Entiat and Chelan.

Any changes to the closure schedule will be shared on the travel alert page and on Twitter @WSDOT_East.
