Several Records Set by Chelan Track & Field

The Chelan Goats Track and Field team traveled to Wahluke High School on a beautiful Thursday afternoon and had a very successful outing. 

Many of our athletes set personal records during the meet, including:

• Julio Alatorre placed 3rd in the 200M with a personal record of 24.8 seconds and won the 100M with a season record of 11.5 seconds
• Matea Ivory placed 3rd in the 200M with a season record of 29.00 and placed 2nd in the 100M with a season record of 13.5
• Teagan Silva won the 800M with a season record of 2:40.6
• Ivan Duenas had a season record time in the 1600M 5:29.40
• Hailee Huddleston won the Javelin with a season best throw of 92”8.

Additional event highlights include:

• Ryan Allen (100M- 12.5 and placed 3rd in the high jump with a jump of 5’0)
• Samael Vazuea (100M- 12.8)
• Pablo Ramirez (100M- 13.0)
• Ben Brownfield (100M-13.2 and 200M- 28.0)
• Noah Cumpton (100M- 13.8)
• Nancy Palestino (200M- 35.0)
• Aliya Finch (200M- 29.4 and placed 2nd in the discus with a personal best of 81’9”)
• Tyler Fogelson (Long Jump of 14’7” and a time of 2:17.9 in the 800m earning him 2nd place)
• Cray Silva (1600m with a third place time of 4:58)
• Luke Simmons (Long Jump of 15’4” for 4th place and a time of 5:20.3 in the 1600M)
• Ringo Renteria (1600M- 5:50.6)
• Jason  Pritchard (Shot Put- 30’1.5” and Javelin- 107’10”)
• Peyton Bodle (Javelin- 63’5” and placed third in Discus with a throw of 78’8”)
• Itzel Martinez (Javelin- 63’5” )
• Catherine Martinez (Javelin- 53’6”)
• Alexandra Vazquez (Javelin- 50’10”)

Chelan travels next to Cashmere for a regional multi-school meet on Wednesday, the 28th.
