Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating cause of the accident

Just after 11:30 am Monday morning Orondo Fire responded to the report of an auto accident on McNeil Canyon Road two miles north of the Beebe Bridge. On arrival incoming units found a semi and trailer rolled over on its top with heavy damage and brakes on fire. One victim was trapped in the semi, requiring extrications, sustaining serious injuries that are not being disclosed at this time.

The semi was leaking diesel and oil that was contained at the scene. The flatbed trailer was loaded with compost fertilizer in vinyl totes.

There were 16 firefighters on scene from Orondo Fire, Chelan Fire 7 as well as EMS from Chelan Community Hospital. The Douglas County Sheriff is investigating.
