Expect minor traffic delays at Slide Ridge and Boyd Road Areas

information released by Chelan County

Road Crews from Chelan County Public Works will be working on road maintenance projects on both sides of the lake this week. Motorists should expect minor traffic delays.

South Lakeshore Road at Slide Ridge: Motorists on South Lakeshore Road will see a crew working at Slide Ridge the week of July 25. A county contractor must replace damaged asphalt on a portion of the newly built bridge there. On Monday, the contractor will begin work at 4 a.m., removing the damaged asphalt and replacing it. This work is expected to take most of the day. Work on Tuesday and Wednesday includes sealing the asphalt and striping the roadway. From Monday through Wednesday, the roadway will be at one lane, with flaggers directing traffic, while the contractor is working. Please plan for minor traffic delays.

Boyd Road/Boyd Loop Road/Cooper Mountain Road: The crew will continue cleaning up storm damage in the Boyd Road and Boyd Loop Road area as well as on Cooper Mountain Road. The work requires one-lane, flagger-controlled traffic. Motorists should plan for minor traffic delays if they come upon the county road crew. Crews also will be brooming recently chip-sealed roads. If time allows, the crew will be repairing storm damage on Shady Pass Road and spot mowing around the district.
