Passenger Vehicle Overturned near Orondo

Just before 7 am Sunday morning Orondo Fire responded to an auto accident US 97 above Daroga Park. On arrival incoming units found a passenger vehicle overturned in the on Northbound ditch.

It appeared that the southbound vehicle had lost control, rolling over coming to rest on its top.

Three occupants were able to self-extricate with one being treated on the scene.

As the vehicle was being stabilized noise was heard from the inside that was determined to be a rooster chicken. Extrication tools were used to access the Rooster who was freed from the wreckage uninjured.

There were six fire apparatus and 14 emergency responders on scene from Orondo Fire, Ballard Ambulance and the Washington State Patrol. The WSP is investigating the cause of the accident.
