Looking for a non-profit that could use your volunteer time, energy and knowledge? Want to learn more about the various programs offered by nonprofits in our region? Then attend Non-Profit Day at Pybus Public Market this Saturday, March 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The event is Presented by the Community Foundation of NCW and Pybus Market Charitable Foundation. There will be over 50 nonprofit organizations in the concourse with representatives ready tell you about their mission and programs.

“Pybus Market is a non-profit organization itself, and our mission includes helping other non-profits achieve their goals,” said Aly Laris, marketing and operations coordinator at Pybus Market. “Non-Profit Day connects the public of all ages and interests looking for volunteer opportunities, board positions and programmatic information with over 50 non-profit organizations in our community,” added Laris.

“Helping non-profits and our communities better connect and understand each other is consistent with the mission of the Community Foundation of NCW,” said Beth Stipe, its executive director and co-presenter of Non-Profit Day. “Many non-profits need more volunteers and board members, and offer important programs that are not well known or understood among local residents,” added Stipe. “Non-Profit Day is intended to help bridge those gaps,” said Stipe.
